It all started in the sunny town of Bridgend in the UK. One of my mates said to me, "How do you fancy going to the Superbikes in Assen?"
Ever since watching Dumb and Dumber I thought that Assen was a ski resort so I wasn't so sure. I asked around and heard good reports so later agreed. After reading diferent bits and pieces in magazines and from what they said in my local bikeshop, I became more and more excited. I was so excited that my misses said that I cared more about going to the Superbikes in September than I did about getting married in July. That was open to debate.
The time came. It was the begining of September and we had to move fast. The ferry had to be booked and the bike had to be made reliable. First stop was my local dealer. Thunder Road. They were voted number one in RIDE's recent servey and this was to be the test. I was to ride a Suzuki SV650S. The other guys were on a Yamaha R6 and two Kawasaki ZX9's. I could not afford to be let down.
